When Robert and Alice started the firm in 2012, they brought decades of experience and a belief that relationships, not transactions, build lasting teams. They launched with deep roots in the Carolinas, but quickly became known throughout the region for their human approach, vast industry knowledge, and professionalism.
Today, under the continued leadership of Alice and Jacob, Jones Grove remains a go-to partner for IT leaders across the country. Clients still pick up the phone. Candidates still remember how they were treated, often calling back as clients to build successful teams of their own. And Jones Grove continues to do what they’ve always done best: connect the right people to the right opportunities with speed, intention, and a human touch.

Alice Grove
Career recruiter. North Carolina native.
Community builder.
Alice has spent her entire career in recruiting, long before founding Jones Grove in 2012. A Concord native, proud UNC Wilmington grad, and majority owner of Jones Grove, she built the firm around one core belief: that trust and relationships matter more than transactions.
Today, Alice continues to lead with clarity, consistency, and care—shaping careers, supporting teams, and strengthening Charlotte’s tech community. She’s also an active member of SIM Charlotte and a champion for women in IT, regularly mentoring and connecting professionals across the region.

Jacob Grove
Engineer turned recruiter. Systems thinker.
People-first problem solver.
Before joining Jones Grove, Jacob spent a decade as an electrical engineer working with Ingersoll Rand, GE, and Jacobs Engineering. He holds a dual degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NC State and became a licensed Professional Engineer in 2013.
At Jones Grove, he brings a technical eye to every search, offering clients a sharper, deeper understanding of IT roles, responsibilities, and talent. Jacob is just as comfortable decoding job specs as he is cheering on his kids’ soccer team from the sidelines.
